There’s a reason this site is called captainwonder.com and that’s because John named it after a superhero he created back in 1995! Captain Wonder tells the story of a middle-aged man who is desperate to save his beloved comic-book store from going bust. So he does the only logical thing and becomes a superhero, doing “good deeds” in exchange for more customers. Naturally, things don’t always go to plan! Issue one features a cover coloured by none other than the legendary Marvel and DC comic artist, Frank Quitely and has an exclusive introduction by 2000ad, Batman and Lobo writer, Alan Grant! The Adventures of Beans & Tucker tells the story of a feisty snail and a gentle tortoise who are not wanted for a crime they did not commit so they go on the run on their amazing skateboard, “THE BEAST”.
